A$AP Rocky has officially returned to the top of the charts. The Harlem rapper earns his third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 as Don’t Be Dumb debuts at the top of the chart dated Jan. 31, marking his first chart-topping album in more than a decade.
According to Luminate, Don’t Be Dumb earned 123,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the week ending Jan. 22. The strong debut reflects both pent-up demand and sustained interest following years of delays and speculation surrounding the project.
This achievement makes Don’t Be Dumb Rocky’s third album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. He previously reached the top of the chart with LONG.LIVE.A$AP in February 2013 and AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP in June 2015, with both projects also opening at the summit. The new release ends an eleven-year gap between No. 1 debuts, solidifying Rocky’s longevity in mainstream hip-hop.
The album’s performance was driven by a combination of streaming activity, album sales, and track-equivalent units, showing strong engagement across platforms. The debut also positions Don’t Be Dumb as one of the biggest hip-hop releases of the year so far.
With this milestone, A$AP Rocky reasserts his place among rap’s elite chart performers, proving that even after a long hiatus, his presence still carries significant weight in the industry.
